We are a quarter way to a 1000 posts. This is the 250th post of the Corpus Opis blog. It is a huge landmark because I have not reached this high with many of my blogs. Only a handful of my blogs have actually reached 250 posts.

I plan to get another 50 posts soon and hit 300 total posts very soon and not have to worry about ever looking back. It is a huge accomplishment since this blog is only a few months old. Here is to another 50 posts for the blog!

All comments are moderated as of now. So if you posted a comment and it was valid, it was approved. There was many spam coments and they were all deleted. I really don’t get why people would spend so much time posting spam over and over again.

So every week or two I will be moderating comments to keep the pressure low. And please do not spam, your comments will not show up EVER. You will just end up havng your IP banned if the spam gets too often.

I like setting goals for my self with everything actually. Whether it be with blogs trying to reach a certain number of posts or on forums trying to reach posts there as well. Or even with games, I try to beat them in a certain time limit or try to pass a certain point.

Well right now I would like to set the goal of 300 posts for this blog. We reached 200 posts in a matter of months because I’ve set goals and this time I would like to do the same. I have even fewer blogs with over 300 posts and hopefully This blog will reach that point soon.

I can’t believe it but we hit 200 posts before the month was over. There is still technically 2 and a half hours left in July and we have gotten to the 200th post. I know it says 204 in the post id but that’s because we have pages and a few unpublished posts.

I am happy that we did it before august came and I see that as a huge accomplishment because I estimated to get to 200 posts by Mid August. This is post 201 by the way.

I just noticed that I have not moderated any comments in the past month and we have racked up over 200 comments that I have to look at. I will get to it over this week and get it over with before it becomes like a 1000 and it takes me a whole hour to get through them.

I do not have the time to look at them now and hopefully there isn’t a lot of spam. They are just a waste of my time and I don’t want to deal with those. I can only hope.

This is the 175th Post of the Blog which is great. Meaning we are just 25 posts away from our new goal which was set to be 200 and hopefully that will be done before I start up college again in a month or so.

This is exciting because not even I have had many blogs hit 200 posts. Only a handful of my sites. And I know many people probably have even less sites. By that I mean people that actually take the time to write their own articles instead of stealing from others. But anyway, 25 to go.

On Thursday July 24th 2008 at around 9 Am the blog and all the other sites on this server are scheduled to be down. The server will go through a few upgrades including the memory and a few other things. I won’t be upgrading myself because it is at a datacenter far, far away.

The estimated downtime is about 30 minutes to 60 minutes at max but upgrades can go as far as 2 hours at times due to complications. I’ve had that happen to me. So if we disappear for a little bit, we will be back, I promise you that.

The last post was actually the 150th post of the blog. I only realized now when I came to check up on some of the comments. I know this post says the post id is 154 but it also counts drafts that I have not published as well as pages that were published and not published.

It is great because we are closer to our next goal of 200 posts and I can’t wait to get that. I have a feeling that it isn’t too far away. If we are lucky I may be able to get the 200th post by the time I start college classes back up in late August. We can only hope. Just 49 posts to go.

I thought I would tell you guys a little about the Corpus Opis June Statistics. I will tell you about the traffic stats and show you how we have improved than the previous month. Ready? Here it goes.

Unique visitors: almost 600. This is a near 500 increase since May which is GREAT. This counts visitors only once a month.

Visits: About 1200. This counts visitors more than once a month. I believe it is once a day but I am not sure.

Pageviews: almost 5,000 which is excellent for a month.

Windows Live Brought up the most visitors with nearly 300 hits followed by google which was just over 70 hits.

Almost 50% of our visitors type in the address directly than get linked from somewhere else.

Also almost 32% of our visitors added us to favorites in their browsers which is great.

The Corpus Opis Blog has done well, very well and I am proud of it. Hopefully the June Stats are much better.

I am happy to say that our goal has been reached. A 100 posts have been posted and I am happy to be making the 101st post of the blog. I know the post id is 104 but it also counts pages and drafts that I have not yet published.

I am happy to have finally made this blog a big landmark so what’s next? Lets go for another 100 posts to make it an even bigger blog. And I am so happy that I was able to get it done before the month of June was over.
