PC Restart

September 22nd, 2008

I actually had to restart my computer yesterday. The RAM was acting up when it came to running programs and I had no choice but to restart. I had it on for a few months and I guess it was just too much for the ram to continuously run everything.

I gave it a break for about 15 minutes while I Cleaned the case and then turned it back on. It feels MUCh better now. Feels much faster and it actually is faster, Might have to restart more often then.

Fonts

September 21st, 2008

I have been looking at some new fonts for my computer. Not really for my computer but I want to get a few cool ones to put on the CD case cover. I want to make sure that it looks good without me having to use too many filters to make it look good.

I found a few and I will be testing them out. If you are wondering where I went to get my fonts, it is at DaFont.com. Check them out they are pretty good and resourceful. Hopefully I can make the current ones work before going to bed tonight.

Download Drivers

September 21st, 2008

Have you ever had to download drivers to make sure your computer is running smoothly? Then you are not alone. But are you sure that you are downloading ALL of the required drivers for all of your computer hardware and even software? There really are not many ways to tell unless you decide to check every bit of hardware and software that needs a driver and manually check all of their drivers to see if they are updated. That can be time consuming and it may even be a headache because you can always miss something.

But now the Uniblue DriverScanner is out by Li Utilities and they make it so much easier to scan your computer to find drivers that may have not been updated. Visit t heir web site at LiUtilities.com for more information. Check out their products page and look for the Uniblue DriverScanner and it may be a savior for your computer. With the latest drivers your computer will function at a different level. It will be less likely to crash or even slow down and you will not regret ever using the Uniblue DriverScanner because it will make sure that your computer drivers are always updated to the latest versions.

Computer Needs Restarting

September 17th, 2008

I need to restart my computer soon before it acts up too much and fails on me. It has only been on for about 2 months now and I have gone much longer than this before. Much much longer.

The computer doesn’t overheat easily so I am not worried about that. I have plenty of fans, a side window, and a lot of heatsinks to make sure it doesn’t heat up. But from time to time the CPU may act up as well as the RAM if I run a program too long or run too many at the same time. Generally I have about 60+ processes running and sometimes I cut back to 50 when needed.

Laptop Fixed :D

September 5th, 2008

Earlier today i went to my laptop shop at my Campus and had my laptop fixed. I stated here that my laptop’s touchpad just screwed the whole computer up for some reason so today when my class was cancelled I had some time to wait in line and get my laptop fixed.

They changed the lower area of the laptop which was just the touchpad and I knew there was a hardware problem, I just didn’t want to deal too much with it because it was still under my college’s warranty. And I also got a Microsoft Office 2007 upgrade so its a win-win situation for me today.

Cascading Style Sheet

August 21st, 2008

I am very glad that I learned how to use CSS or Cascading Style Sheet with my web templates to code web sites. Because I have put all my CSS Knowledge to use with my new web template for my web host.

I don’t actually know a 100% of all CSS so once in a while I have to look up what attributes I can use to spice things up. I am happy that I know it. Just wish my Designing skills were as high as my CSS knowledge, Would have been so much easier with the design.

Computer Updated & Restarted

August 13th, 2008

Over night my computer updated and then restarted by itself. I was really mad early this morning because I usually run programs while going to bed and then when I wake up I don’t really remember what I was doing and leaving things open helps me out greatly.

I don’t know why it does it overnight when I’ve set automatic update to take place at 5 pm. So I turned that off and made it so it downloads the updates but does NOT install without my permission. Hopefully this fixes it because I do not like updating my computer and then restarting when I am not here.
