Logitech Headset Driver Fail

September 27th, 2008

Earlier today I tried to install one of my spare logitech headsets to my laptop. The driver has not installed properly and it won’t. It was the replacement I got for the one that was destroyed by that Vacuum cleaner a few months ago. It worked fine when I got it but now it is giving me problems.

It isn’t a big deal but it is annoying. Especially when I really needed to use it to watch a video on my laptop, It is much easier than watching the video on my desktop on this chair.

Hopefully I can find a way to fix it and get the driver somewhere off the internet, it could be that the USB part of the headset that installs the driver automatically is defective. Just more problems for me, and no solutions.

iTunes 8.0

September 26th, 2008

A little while ago Apple iTunes released the 8th version of their free music player and organizer. It is my preferred software for listening to music. They released the 8th version a while ago but I just upgraded it just now and honestly, it doesn’t feel much more different than 7.0.

The features are the same, they haven’t changed. I still have problems adding videos for some reason even the ones I made myself of me playing games. It is the same way to create playlists. Except there is a Genius link you can click that will recommend songs to you based on the songs you already have. It’s just a ploy to help apple make more money, no surprise there.

Other than that I can’t really say it was WORTH upgrading to 8.0. I only did it because apple bugged the hell out of me to upgrade my softwares since they were so outdated and I finally did.

September 26th, 2008

Imagine having remote access to your computer from any where at any time of day. Whether you are an individual or a Small business, you will find their service very useful because you will be able to do what you want on your computer from any where if you have the right access with the right internet connection.

Visit their web site at RemotePC.com. They are growing to be one of the best remote access services around. Their plans start at $4.95 a month which is VERY cheap. Just a few cents a day. You cannot complain about that can you? I plan to go study abroad a year from now so I am really considering this service although I may have to wait a bit before purchasing to be able to use, but you may actually have use for it now.

Microsoft Excel 2007

September 12th, 2008

I don’t have a lot of experience with the 2007 version of Microsoft Excel but I can tell you that I actually like it a lot more than 2003 right now. I have only started using it for my computer science class less than two weeks ago.

Hopefully I master excel 2007 just like I did 2003, it will be great considering more and more businesses will be using Microsoft Excel 2007 and getting rid of 2003 later on.

Getting a new Flash Drive

August 26th, 2008

I have looked all over the place all day for my kingston 4 gig flash drive. I found it no where. I don’t know if I or anyone else threw it out by accident but it is a horrible thing to lose with information inside that can be very useful.

I didn’t have any personal information on it thankfully but still it is a loss and I hate losses. Hopefully I can find a good flash drive in time to get to class next week if I can’t find one before Thursday.

Dreamweaver vs Notepad

August 20th, 2008

I usually use notepad when I code web sites. I find it easier and more fun. But this time, I actually used dreamweaver mainly because I get an immediate view of the product without having to save and open a browser and also it has a lot of short cuts.

Since I have just a week left before I have to go back to classes, I wanted to make sure that I finish this thing as soon as possible and in order to do that I have to work with short cuts and dreamweaver actually helps with that.

So this time when it comes to Dreamweaver’s fast speed of coding versus Notepad’s long and more interesting way of coding, Dreamweaver wins because it allows me to save time with its shortcuts and instant views.
