Earlier this past thursday, October 9th, the vBulletin team announced their latest version of vBulletin. It is still in beta and not all the features and what they plan to do with it has been announced. It is still a work in progress and I hope they have some more news on it.

Their latest stable version is 3.7.3 PL3 I believe. That’s the Patch Level which was used to secure a security hole left in PL2 and PL1 and the original and so on. Lets just say 3.7 wasn’t their best upgrade. Hopefully 3.8 is.

Right now I am thinking of starting up a new project. Unfortunately it is not for this blog but close enough. Currently I have a blue/white theme for my web hosting company’s website. I plan on making a kind of christmas theme for the upcoming holiday season in just over two months.

I am not the best web designer out there but I do what I can to get by. I am also not a newbie when it comes to designing websites. Hopefully I can use that experience to make a good theme. i was thinking maybe go after red instead of blue and see how it turns out. Wish me luck on the project.

Earlier today we got a bunch of new members on the forum. I actually saw that as a good thing but after a while they started posting links. But they are retarded, you can’t post links on my forum if you don’t have 10 posts and have a 24 hour registration period probation passed.

So I had to spend time deleting all of their posts and then banning their user accounts and their IP addresses since they used a Proxy to get on which is sad. What would be sadder is if it was just one person trying over and over again. What kind of a person wouldn’t learn after the first post?

A Dedicated IP is a static IP Assigned to a certain internet connection or even just a basic server. Since I am starting up a web hosting company myself I am looking to getting a dedicated IP So the IP is mine and mine only without any interference from other accounts.

The Dedicated IP will ensure that no one else’s screw ups will screw me up when it comes to sending out emails and even receiving emails. Hopefully it is set up soon for me as I ordered a Dedicated IP just earlier today. Can’t wait to set it up and start using it right away.

Wordpress 2.7 is supposedly in the works. It makes me not want to upgrade to 2.6.2 yet because I know a few days after I upgrade, 2.7 will come out and it will leave 2.6 in the dust. So it just turns me off.

I will still probably end up upgrading to 2.6.2 any way and like I said, my luck isn’t the best in the world so wordpress will probably make me upgrade again just a few days later.

Just over a week ago the latest and best version of wordpress was announced which is version 2.6.2. If you don’t know what wordpress is, it is the content management software used on this blog right here. Extremely easy to use and I just love it.

They have a lot of updates so that’s a bit of a turn off for me because I have to update almost every other week. But I haven’t upgraded since 2.5.1 but I do plan on upgrading to 2.6.2 soon when I have the time. Hopefully it’s as good as they say.

GF meaning Gamers-Forum.com has something to be proud of. We now have over a 100,000 total pages indexed in Google. Some datacenters are actually showing at around a 140,000 which is GREAT. We have almost a 120,000 total posts and with the thread links and other pages and their different link aliases along with the username profiles, we should have over a 150,000 total pages.

Hopefully google finishes indexing and locks it at 140,000 and then I can be proud of owning the forum, well prouder. I can only hope now and hope that it brings in a lot of traffic.

Google has dozens if not hundreds of datacenters around the world. Each of these datacenter actually has different index rates and even indexed pages. For example if you look at the indexed page of Gamers-Forum.com in one datacenter you may get just 33,000 like I do on my current computer. But if I look from my laptop, it happens to connect to a different datacenter which shows me over 73,000 pages indexed.

The numbers vary all over the place so it is very different. The co.uk domain seems to have also over 73,000 pages indexed. I cannot tell you what datacenter my computer connects too because it could be random or cookie based.
